Daria Ní Fhaoláin | Pilates classes in Newry

Daria Ní Fhaoláin - Neart Pilates

Daria came to Pilates originally under the advice of a Physiotherapist due to lower back issues. After years of attending classes, she decided to undertake a Pilates Diploma to further her knowledge, as a lifestyle change to improve health and wellbeing and to help bring the benefits that Pilates had given to her to others. One of the most rewarding aspects of work for her is seeing improvements in the daily functionality of her clients, both physically and mentally. She is continuously undertaking further study to further her knowledge, as well as coming up with creative ways to maximise the benefit for each client. All of her classes are a completely safe environment to exercise, they aim to challenge the clients, but in a pain-free way. She is always on hand to provide assistance, modifications and alternative exercises if necessary. She has specialised in hypermobility due to having hypermobile joints herself and this enables her to work very effectively with clients in this category, and particularly children who have a higher rate of hypermobility in limbs. As well as work with schools, community groups, hospitals and activity centres, Daria also has a home studio in Newry, close to Daisy Hill hospital. There she provides smaller classes, as well as private and semi-private sessions.
